Artist's Comments
This is a depiction of one of my original characters as a guardian spirit--which how I plan for him to end up as in the future of his story. I originally just sketched this with the idea of making an impossibly crazy hairstyle, even moreso than the typical anime main character. In the end, I ended up also exagerating his clothes and sword.
The background was made on a whim, and I'm not sure what exactly it is supposed to be--I just put it in to fill up space. I think I intended it to be dusk represented in the form of light and dark colliding together like comets. The end product here is made from a combination of colored pencils and a ball-point pen. |

It's been fun watching Ken develop, that's for sure. I keep thinking about drawing up his progression through the years, but laziness ends up pulling me down... In any case, I am making a another revamp of his appearence, so this far future version of him just might change a little...
The red is also something I like, though I guess that is becuase I like weave patterns in general. Must have been becuase of looking at a one too many celtic knots.
